What we sell at the market:
fresh produce according to season, including
colorful mixed lettuce, young spinach and chard,
varieties of summer and winter squash, sweet
onions as green top and bulbs, young garlic, pie
pumpkins, Serendipity (sweet and flavorful bicolor)
sweet corn, popcorn and Ornamental Indian corn,
pickling and slicing cucumbers, red and green
cabbages, etc. also lean Texas Longhorn freezer
beef, gourmet beef sticks, sweet and spicy smooth
muscle jerky and tangy, lean summer sausage, some
large roasting chickens. fresh brown and white large
eggs, and some potted plants from the greenhouse.
We will be at the market:
I will be at the market most Saturdays except in the
month of August.
Information about our farm/business:
We are a small farm in the foot hills of the Alleghenies.
Just a mile out of Tunnelton, we raise purebred colorful
and photogenic Texas Longhorn cattle for breeding stock,
pasture ornaments, and freezer beef. We have 2 riding
steers, 3 Belgian draft horses, and give tours arranged by appointment.
Information about our family:
Barbara is retired and works full time on the farm with the produce and Dave is associate
provost for Extension at WVU.
